Our Loss is Heaven's Gain

This world has lost a friend of mine and her name is Grace. Grace passed away unexpectedly yesterday, she was only in her early 40's (a year or so older than myself).

Grace was exuberant, especially in her love for Jesus. During worship service, it was Grace's voice that soared above all others, praising God and shouting exclamations of honor to Him. She was kind, compassionate, and she wore her heart on her sleeve. When she came to our weekly ladies' prayer meeting, it was often with a piece of notebook paper filled with names of family members, friends, co-workers, and sometimes even a customer she encountered at Walmart that she wanted to hold up in prayer.

One of our newest church members, now a choir director and Sunday school teacher, came to our church by way of Grace. She met her in the laundromat.

I am so thankful that I had the privilege of having Grace as my friend. She was truly one of the sweetest people I have ever known.

  3. We all need a Grace in our lives. I am sorry for your loss, but I have the feeling that God will allow Grace's testimony to live on in you forever.

Hope that it's warmer and drier down there then it has been here of late...
