As the Snow Flies . . . . . . . . . .

Our first official snow fall is happening now! Starting promptly today at 1pm (our forecasters were right on!), we have so far accumulated about four inches with totals to be somewhere around eight to twelve inches.
Of course, this being my normal grocery shopping day, I headed right across the street to Stop & Shop as soon as I got out of work. I heard that most of the town was down the street at Walmart but a good deal of them were in the grocery store, too. And I just happened to need milk, bread and toilet paper (it's a New England joke) as well as an abundance of food. There's no way I was going to be holed up in the house with a hungry hubby and two starving teenagers all weekend.

The snow has fallen at a rate of about an inch and a half an hour. I went outside a while ago and shoveled the driveway so my hubby will have no problem making it up the driveway when he gets out of work. As I shoveled, my dog Abby sat and watched, and I think she enjoyed the silence and quiet of the snowfall just as much as I did. Before coming in, I threw some snowballs for her to chase.
I'm sure hubby will take her out to play when he gets home. Of course, he'll be getting the snow blower out and clearing the driveway. I just heard on the news that we may be getting another storm on Sunday. Now it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Last weekend we posed for our annual Christmas photo. Annual being the second year we've taken it. I guess next year it'll be considered a tradition. So here we are:

Geoff is actually quite a bit taller than pictured - he's leaning forward to get his face in there. And no, the dog didn't take the picture, we have the camera propped on top of a box on the dining table.

So I'm off to cook a cozy dinner of steak and mashed potatoes and veggies. I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

God Bless,

Liane
