NOW it's Summer!

The hazy, hot, and humids are here, as detected by my hair. Unruly and frizzy are the only adjectives to describe my hair in July and August. I love, love, love my hair in the mild months of fall. Cooperation every single day from every single strand. (Sigh!)

I am certainly a cool-weather girl. Not really into sweating just because I'm breathing. I'm thankful that I work in air-conditioning but if I want to wear a skirt, I have to wear hose. UGH! Needless to say, I have a lot of trousers in my wardrobe. My hubby, on the other hand, loves the heat and complains of the cold all winter long. He wants to move to a warmer climate. "Keep in touch," I tell him.

It was already humid and foggy this morning as I was getting ready for work at 7 am. I had the fan cranked on as I dried my hair, and squawked as I tried to apply my makeup to my already sweaty face. My husband sat there, amused, talking about how wonderfully warm it was. I was hoping the sun wouldn't come out and make the day 10 times hotter, but it did. Now, I DO love the summer for the flowers, the bugs and critters, the dusk part of the day, being outside, fresh fruit and lemonade. . . . . that sort of stuff. The sweating and stickiness? No. No, thank you.

Not that I'm complaining, I'm not. We've had a ton of rain this year and I'm thankful that we're not experiencing a drought. I'm glad that people are enjoying the beaches and their time outdoors. Yay. I just want to be dry and have great hair. That's all!

Have a wonderfully (dry and unsticky) blessed weekend!

  1. Yup, I'm a high dry autumn kinda gal for all the same reasons. I like your "keep in touch" line and I may have to use it. Ha!
