I believe in living simply. Not rushing here or there, or filling the hours of every day with busyness. Dashing about to get nowhere. I love thrift shopping (who doesn't love a great deal?) and my love for vintage and antiques was instilled in me by my great-grandmother, Emma, for whom this blog and my online store is named.

Spring
“It was such a spring day as breathes into a man an ineffable yearning, a painful sweetness, a longing that makes him stand motionless, looking at the leaves or grass, and fling out his arms to embrace he knows not what.”
― John Galsworthy, The Forsyte Saga
These are speckled violets from my yard....aren't they so sweet and pretty?
I honestly don't know which was prettier - the violets or the laundry carefully hung out in the Spring sunshine and cool April breeze to dry.....
Blessings to all for a wonderfully sweet spring day!

Ahhh, so glad that you've joined spring already in progress. =D Those violets are delightful. I've never seen any like them before now. You can always take photos of laundry on the line...I love those kinds of photos, too. How've you been?

Hi, Vee! I've been in transition, so to speak. A lot going on and I'm excited to see what the Lord will do in my life and where He is bringing me to!
ReplyDeleteThe violets were growing in a tuft of grass near an old hedge of bittersweet and wild roses on the edge of our property. My daughter pointed them out to me on Sunday. They bring a smile to my face!
OOOOH...you have bittersweet in your yard? LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, I am very homesick...and very lonely..I am missing the days we would hang out together and talk.
Love you.
